I have known Jim for most of my life and he has been a father figure to me. I wanted to name this race after him to pay tribute to what Jim has done for the sport of drag racing and for what he has meant to me.The Jim Harrington Footbrake Classic will be held September 29 and 30, 2012 at Cecil County Dragway in Maryland. I want to thank Tracey Harrington for giving us her blessing to rename the race after Jimmy.-JP,JR.

Cecil County Dragway has been home to TJHFBC for the past 5 years, and we are proud to continue on with this tradition when it hosts The Jim Harrington Footbrake Classic in 2012. Cecil County Dragway is a clean, well run facility, with a great staff and management and a great place to bring the family and enjoy a day of racing! New for 2012, the track has been resurfaced! The first 700 feet will now be concrete!Cecil County Dragway is located at #1916 Theodore Road, Rising Sun, MD.
