I have been with the Alcan Dragon Boat Festival for the past eight years directly involved with the Food Vendors, most recently in charge of Food and Finance concerning the ADBF where I organize, do the contracts and look after the finances and well being directly in charge of the Food Vendors of which Mr. Cool Ice Cream Ltd has been a part of these many years.
I also was part of the Richmond Tall Ship Festival several years ago, but contracted by F. Genius Productions at that time, helping to also organize and take care of the Food Vendors.
Since knowing Ana and Pete and this organization and working with them and their staff I can happily state that they have been excellent contractors and that their staff and the quality of their product are excellent. I have never had any issues nor any problems resulting from any large trucks or small ice cream carts that have been involved in any of the festivals I have worked with them at.
Any issues that may have come up with regard to needing them to re-locate a truck or cart because of logistical purposes only, have always been dealt with in the most professional manner by all of their staff without question. They are friendly with the public and to work with, follow all guidelines and rules imposed upon them to the letter and have always paid their fees on time and had their contracts submitted in a timely fashion.

MR. COOL ICE CREAM carries already $4,000,000.00 general liability the company and $2,000,000.00 vehicle liability. We also have been registered with WCB since 1991 and our registration # 447406. We continue to be in good standing and have no claims.
MR. COOL ICE CREAM is also the only company using Nelson Manufactured cold plate freezers (also known as the Cadillac of freezers). These freezers are self contained and require no dry ice and keep our product frozen from14 to 16 hours at -15 degrees F. These freezers are well known in the different health departments such as Fraser Valley, Boundary and the Government of Canada and are considered the best way to keep ice cream frozen at the proper temperature.
Inverters used by others are unreliable and batteries often die and dry ice is a dangerous good that can cause severe harm to the ice cream purchaser as well as the vendor.
Mr. Cool’s equipment consists of Ice Cream Trucks, Vans, Cold Plate Carts, music boxes, speakers and Concession Trailers that are fully equipped for scoop, prepackaged novelties, popcorn and cotton candy. We also have a large walk in freezer for Cold storage.
Our typical season runs from mid-March to Thanksgiving, weather permitting. Peak period for sales are early in the season, long weekends, and mid-summer. The number one set back and the only factor in this business that is the weather.
Over the last 2 years we have experienced approximately a total of 35 to 45 days of rain during each 6 ½ mth season. All that rain! And still able to thrive!
