VIRCD is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization designed to meet the informational, instructional, vocational and adaptive technological needs of persons with disabilities. It is the Center's firm belief that "persons who have a disability" are endowed with all the rights and privileges needed to maximize their physical, mental, social, and spiritual potential for leading rich and productive lives in our community.

We help!
We offer seamless accessible services for individuals with disabilities ages 5 - 65+.
We encourage independence of individuals with disabilities, with the optimal goal of becoming productive members of society and/or the work force.
Increase awareness and understanding of the needs of individuals with disabilities.
We are an information source, advocacy and referral assistance resource for the needs of individuals with disabilities.
To develop programs and coordinate activities to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities through the use of assisted technology.
Youth
Computer Training for Empowerment
Teach basic computer skills and use assistive/ adaptive technology to enhance their learning acquisition. This program is funded by the V.I. Department of Labor Workforce Investment Act (WIA.).
Serves students between the ages of 5-17 in the areas of homework tutorial, arts and crafts and computer technology.
Offers children the chance to become acquainted with technology in a variety of ways. The camp also includes arts and crafts, computer, music, performing arts, academic classes, and a violence prevention program.
Provides clients with literacy and GED preparatory classes to supply students with the skills needed to ensure job readiness. This program is funded by VI Department of Education Career Technical and Adult Education.

Today, VIRCD has centers on St. Thomas, St. Croix and satellite programs on St. John.
