Pastor Terry has been serving at Motlow Creek Baptist Church for five years. He is married to his beautiful wife, Cookie, and they have one daughter, Shannon. Pastor Terry has served at Mount Vernon Baptist Church and Christian School, Centerville Baptist Church, and Airport Baptist Church. He has also served at Siloam Baptist Church and Bethel Baptist Church as Youth Pastor. He holds degrees from Anderson Universtiy, Columbia Bible College, Central Wesleyan College, and Wren High School. Pastor Terry and Cookie have established Life-AID Inc. (now known as LifeAID Ministries) which is a mission ministry to Hungary, Romania, Russia, and other countries currently being added. Pastor Terry has a vast experience in the ministryand has preached an eight day crusade at the largest Baptist Church in Europe, Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Bible Fellowship
The best way you can develop new friendships and grow in your relationship with the best Friend you can ever have at MCBC is through Bible Study Fellowship, offered on Sunday mornings in a friendly, caring environment.
The purpose of Bible Fellowship is to help you develop lasting relationships with others each with a desire to apply Gods wisdom to life.
Each class is centered on Gods Word to help you face the day-to-day challenges and victories we all encounter. Classes range in size from five or six to 20 people. Feel free to visit different classes to find the one that is right for you. Enjoy Bible study, prayer support, socials, activities, ministry opportunities and just getting to know others in a small-group where you will truly feel at home. Youll meet people in your similar stage of life such as singles, newlyweds, parents of preschoolers, parents of youth and university-aged children, empty nesters, grandparents, and mentors. Plus there mens and womens classes, as well as co-ed. Bible Study Fellowship classes are also offered for preschoolers, children and students at the same time as adult classes.

Music Ministry
Ministry Verse: Psalm 150
Mission Statement: To lead others to the very Throne of God; worshipping Him in spirit and truth; teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs; and by living a lifestyle of commitment and joy in serving God both inside and outside the church.
At Motlow Creek Baptist Church, we believe that worship is a verb, not a noun. Worship is not only what we say or sing but something we do! It is about our hearts, and our relationship with God.
The Celebration Choir leads the church in worship each Sunday morning and does special gospel presentations at different times in the year. The only prerequisite for joining the celebration choir is that you have accepted Christ as your personal Savior, you must live a lifestyle of worship throughout the week, and be faithful to the ministry.
The Motlow Singers is our Southern Gospel Quartet. Even though they generally have more than four people in the group. The singings occasionally lead in worship and also present the gospel at special events around the Spartanburg area. Membership is by invitation only.
The Media Team is responsible for all of the audio and visual needs of the churchThey operate the sound system for all services, prepare visual aids when needed, and operate cameras when needed. We also need people to assist us in this area! Please see us IMMEDIATELY if you are interested!!!
Counseling
Ministry
Purpose:
The purpose of Motlow Creek Counseling Ministry is to provide affordable, Christ-centered, professional counseling services.
Counseling can help individuals to understand themselves and others better, learn to approach life problems from a healthy
identity and recognize the importance of having a personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ. The desire of this ministry is to help others find Gods promises, purpose and power for their lives.
Confidentiality:
Services are provided in an environment in which client confidentiality is highly valued and strictly maintained. It is this ministrys goal to provide a setting in which individuals can honestly discuss problems, share feelings and work toward healthy, Christ- centered resolutions.
Services Include:
Individual, family, marital and pre-marital counseling are offered. Counseling can help address issues that affect daily living
including anxiety, depression, anger, stress, loss/grief and broken relationships. Counseling can help to develop healthy
coping, decision-making, and relationship skills that foster positive change and personal growth. Family counseling can help
build stronger, healthier family relationships.
Costs:
The desire of this ministry is to provide professional counseling services at affordable costs. Fees for counseling will be
discussed during the first scheduled session.

Youth Ministry
encounter YOUTH MINISTRIES main purpose is for our youth to encounter God in Bible Study, prayer, fellowship, and discipleship. We meet each Sunday at 10 am for Bible Fellowship and on Wednesday at 7 pm in the Impact Building.
Each summer we take our youth to Daytona Beach, Florida for LifeAid Beach Blast which is an intense time of Spirit filled preaching, worship, fun, and fellowship!
In the past, the youth have been to Garden City Beach in Myrtle Beach, SC, snow tubing, lock-ins, basketball/softball games, Christmas Caroling, Carowinds/Six Flags trips, Christian events such as "Meltdown" and much, much more!!!!
We invite any youth between the ages of 6th-12th grade to participate in our worship sessions and events. Please help us pray for this ministry because your youth are the next leaders in the church! encounter...encounter...encounter...

Celebrating 14 years of ministry opportunities in Russia, LifeAid
has ministries in Guatemala, Central America, Russia, Romania,
and Hungary. We have an office in Moscow with three full time
staff members and 20 interpreters. We estimate over three million
dollars of medical and supplies to various organizations over the
last 14 years.
Remember Missions is about Praying, Giving, and Going. Few Go, Some Give, Everyone Prays!!!
