About Gemma

Born and bred in the heart of the East Midlands Gemma began her musical journey with her guitar at the age of 12. After developing her beautiful playing style Gemma played guitar and sang for a number of rock and indie bands during her early teenage years, gigging across the midlands acheiving noteable recognition along the way. She has now graduated from the Brooksby Melton Academy of Arts after receiving extensive traning in Musical Theatre, acheiving the highest grade possible (triple distinction), excelling in such areas of study as, vocal technique and applying singing styles. Since embarking on her solo career in 2008 Gemma has put pen to paper on countless original tracks featuring beautifully crafted guitar work and refreshingly honest lyrics. With a naturally warm vocal talent Gemma's solo work shot to instant success upon the release of her demo material in early 2010 receiving a great deal of airplay on Leicester Sound, along with humbling feedback from a number of industry sources, and the public alike. Rich harmonies and delightfully easy-listening melodies form the basis of Gemma's first 8 track album entitled "Acoustic craft". Completed in the studio in March 2011 acoustic craft is now available to purchase on i-tunes, amazon and a number of other leading download sites on the internet. At the remarkable age of 18, 2011 is looking to be a very promising year for Gemma with the launch of her first album and a number of live appearances to accompany this, while still working hard consistently creating new material writing to an increasingly high standard. Gemma would love to see as many of you supporting her at her live shows as possible, downloading the album, and spreading the word about her music. Keep your eye on this site for updates!
