The Moraga Junior Horsemen's Association is for anyone under the age of 18 who has an interest in horses. MJHA participates in educated activities to expand their knowledge of horses. The club operates under the auspices of the Moraga Horsemen's Association with guidance from parents and MHA advisors.
MJHA was founded in the 1950's for junior riders and horse enthusiasts, ages 8 through 18.
With the assistance of the Moraga Horsemen's Association the club offers a varied program of shows, playdays, trailrides and fieldtrips.
The club maintains an arena on Canyon Road for these events. The emphasis in all MJHA events is on safety and good sportsmanship. We meet once a month to discuss business matter, followed by a varied array of speakers, games, videos, or other events designed to offer fun and education in regards to our shared interest - the horse. Parents are encouraged attend and join the fun.
Membership is maintained by regular attendance at meetings and payment of a yearly dues of $25.Membership is maintained by regular attendance at meetings and payment of a yearly dues of $25.The junior members are encouraged to volunteer and participate in various activities. The junior members are encouraged to organize the activities, but parents also play
an important and vital role in MJHA.
No event can go on without parental help,
supervision, and support. All parents are asked to help with the activities throughout the year. You will be

membership with Moraga Junior Horsemen's Association.
The purpose of the Moraga Horsemens pasture is to provide active members of the MHA and the Moraga Junior Horsemens Association (MJHA) with a satisfying pasture environment, as well as safe and quality board for their horses, while working in conjunction with EBMUD to protect the land. Currently, EBMUD specifies that we may keep sixteen on the MHA pasture. Access to the Pasture is through a locked gate at 423 Canyon Rd., Moraga.
While the Pasture provides an attractive boarding environment for horses, it is not suitable for all horses or all horse owners. The quality of the feed varies over the course of the year, declining substantially at the end of the dry months.
