'Middle of December'
The Old Goat Takes His Hat Off Before Mocking Your Reflection
'The Old Goat...' sound and video created in February, 2009.
.
'Middle of December' is a video from a the 'Earth Mother Mind Jam' in Tempe, Arizona, 2005. Myself on bass and vocals, Jason Weidman on Drums.
'Street Scene/Murder Scene' - video showcasing a bit of the sound design I created for this production of 'Street Scene' by Elmer Rice, as directed by Elaine 'E.E.' Moe, produced at SCC, Spring 2005. My work on this production won me a national sound design award with the Kennedy Center's American College Theatre Festival, 2006.
Street Scene/Murder Scene - Design Example
'Waltzee' was created for inclusion in the
play 'Street Scene', by Elmer Rice, produced in 2005
by/at Scottsdale Community College.
'E.E.' Moe, Director
'Blue Springtime in D major' was created for inclusion in the 10 minute play 'Ready, Set, Go'
by Marc Bovino, produced at Actors Theatre of Louisville for the A/P 10 min Showcase, 'Stay Tuned'. 2008.
'Dawn of Civilization or Society in Ferment' is a one act play written by Garry Myers, Produced at SCC, Spring 07 for a 10 minute play festival. I was the director and also did the sound design/music, as well as costumes and makeup. 'Dawn of Civilization Theme' was created for this play.
YCR = 'You Can Radiate', produced Spring 08 at ATL for the A/P 10 min Showcase, 'Stay Tuned'. For this, the director wanted me to incorporate the writer's inspiration for the play, the song 'Dig a Pony' by the Beatles. I summoned the talents of a coworker for the guitar part, recorded raw tracks, and created these bits using those, playing the bass myself, and adding F/X,
subUrbia, by Eric Bogosian, produced at SCC,, Autumn, 06. Randy Messersmith, director. What you are hearing are field recordings gathered at the same location that the scenic designer, Kimb Williamson, used as inspiration for the set. I recorded at different times of the day, accordingly. Here are 2 examples of those recordings. Note: I had left the scene and until later did not know that I'd recorded the man losing his dinner in the background. Perfect!
Heart/H is a play written and directed by me, produced at the Eugene O'neill Theatre Center, as part of the Fellows/Interns project, following the National Playwright's Festival, Summer 06. The bits you hear here I created for this piece.
Just for fun
Claire's Adventure was created for one of the plays in the Eugene O'Neill Cneter's fellows/Interns project, 2006
I did the sound design for Farenheit 451 as produced at the Chryo Arts Center in Scottsdale, Arizona. Summer. 2007. Directed by Tom Laveen. All of the samples here were created by me especially for the play, using both raw sounds and manipulated sound bytes.
Transitions: Music and sounds created for scene changes and for keeping the audience in the moment while switching up the stages in multi=play productions.
The 'thanksgiving' bits were created for the Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center's 2006 Fellows/Interns production.
ATL 'Stay Tuned' was a collection of 10 minute plays showcasing the seasonal apprentices at Actors Theatre of Louisville, Winter 2008. For this I did the sound design for 5 out of 10 of the plays, and all of the transitions = Television theme.
