Pastors John and Saucy have been in ministry for over 15 years. Both gave their hearts to the Lord in 1989, and neither of them wasted any time before getting into ministry. They found themselves encouraging people in the Lord in every area of their lives, from family and friends, to strangers. As their relationship with the Lord strengthened, they began to step into roles in the church such as Sunday school teacher, youth leader, worship leader, and other various avenues to spread the Good News of Gods love and saving grace. Later they were sent out to help other churches, to take over struggling churches, and finally, in 2006, God released them to return to John's hometown of Rolla,, MO in 2006. The town of Rolla, MO had never left Pastor John's heart. He had longed to return to his hometown in order to show those whom he left behind that there is hope. That Hope is found in having a real relationship with Jesus Christ and not in a social gathering called church. One of his favorite sayings is by Keith Green which states that going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than going to going to McDonalds makes you a hamburger. John grew up in this area surviving, as many youth of today, full of himself and high on some sort of stimulant. For Pastor John, church was for weak minded, nerdy, or old people. He never saw his need for a Savior. His few visits to church gave him rules and regulations to follow but not a real relationship with a loving Savior. After meeting his Savior Jesus Christ face to face in 1989, his opinion of God changed, but his opinion of church had not. His goal became to change the way people think about God and change the way people think about church.
His wife Saucy had very little church background. Therefore, she was not bound by the stigmas that accompany religion. All she knew was that when she finally met her Savior for the first time, she was amazed at how clean she felt for the first time in her life. All the guilt and shame that was caused by her sin and the sins of others was gone, and all she could do was smile because she was clean, happy, and loved. She didnt have to do anything except surrender to God in order to get it. Her way had put her in that place of guilt; His way had restored to her life and life more abundantly.
