Dear Members,
One of our members here is an internationally known and highly respected sports artist, Jamie Cooper. He has specialised in doing unique oil paintings of our AFL clubs, Teams of the Century or Dream Scenes. They bring together greats from several different eras and place them together in one moment in time.
Heroes spanning 100 years mingle together and interact in a locker room or on field in post victory celebration. Many player idiosyncrasies and stories from the club's folklore are woven into the scene, giving it extra depth and meaning.
It has been so successful here that American MLB club, the Philadelphia Phillies commissioned Jamie from half way around the world, to paint one for them. It now hangs at their Stadium in the Hall of Fame and prints are being snapped up by the fans (see attached).
We would love Man Utd to be the first EPL Club to embrace this great concept.
Adjacent is a watercolour sketch with a rough idea of how it "could" look for our great club, it is a sketch only. We would like the club to get involved to pick (or have the fans choose) the group and the stories from Man United's history, to be included.
We want your feedback on the idea. We want you to pick 25 or so players from any era of Uniteds history along with any stories that go with that player or manager or tea lady.
