Noctis Luna
Sterling silver pendant with an oxidised crescent moon. Sterling silver chain.
Two squares of sterling silver are cut and the crescent is cut out by hand in one of them.
The squares are soldered together and the piece is filed and polished.
The piece is "oxidised" in a solution of Liver of Sulfur to create an antique patina colour.
The inside of the crescent is then polished further to reveal the silver and create a contrast with the patina.
The contrast of colours between the patina and the polished silver highlights the design.
