Dr. Mark Newkirk has been in veterinary practice since 1981, graduating from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. He is extensively trained in medicine and surgery and also is skilled in the care of exotic pets such as reptiles and birds.

As the owner/director of Margate Animal Hospital and Alternative Care Center (where he started working at age 14 as kennel help - you've come a long way baby!!), and now in second location at 3085 English Creek ave eht . he now practices what he terms "complementary medicine". That is he uses whatever therapies are available to him to treat the whole animal in the best way possible. It’s a blend of both worlds, traditional and alternative medicines!

Current modalities practiced include, herbal therapy, homeopathy, Veterinary Chiropractic (activator method), Metabolic Nutritional Balancing, nutrition and nutri-ceutical therapy, NAET - the allergy elimination therapy, glandular therapy and holistic cancer therapy.

Dr. Newkirk is also one of the few doctors in the country currently undergoing training by the nationally renowned Dr. Martin Goldstein, founder of immunoaugmentative therapy for animals - and author of the best selling book, The Nature of Animal Healing.

This over 5000 square foot hospital allowed Dr Newkirk to add modalities such as Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy, including an Under Water Treadmill for Pets!! This office has an in house laboratory, therapeutic ultrasound, physical therapy and other services to deal with all your beloved pets health issues.

population, and constitute no guarantee of results. I further understand

that these recommendations are based solely upon the information I

supply and that I Iam not a veterinarian skilled in conveying the full

extent of possible symptoms.

Therefore I hold Dr Newkirk completely not liable for any complications or side effects that may result from his recommendations based solely upon my explanation. I also understand that if my pet has a complicated problem, examination, blood tests etc., would be required for a full diagnosis, and thus a more complete therapy recommendation.

I further understand that the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) has deemed SOME alternative therapies as "experimental", and thus attest that it is my wish to use these therapies vs. more conventional therapies such as antibiotics, cortisone, etc. I also understand that I am under no obligation to accept Dr Newkirk's recommendations, and do so of my own free choice.

I recognize that I am seeking a form of treatment for my pet that varies from traditional evidence-based Western veterinary medicine.
