Miss Door County's Outstanding Teen
Cora Baudhuin
Miss Door County
Emily Larsen
The Miss Door County Pageant was first held at the Landmark Resort in 1997. About 75 people attended the pageant and little did we know it was the start of a new Door County staple event.
The next year, we moved the pageant to the Southern Door Community Auditorium where we doubled our attendence. In the years that followed we have had a continually sold out show with amazing support from the Door Community!
In addition, the Miss Door County Scholarship Pageant has received the award for "Top Money Scholarship Program" in the state of Wisconsin for 7 of the last 8 years.
This program has touched the lives of 149 young women, and we have awarded $164,650 in cash scholarships to support Door County's young women as they further their educations.

We are so happy and excited to welcome Cora as Door County's FIRST EVER Outstanding Teen!

The issue of organ donation is close to Emily's heart because it has strongly impacted her own family. They were given life-changing news when they learned that Emily's uncle had polycystic kidney disease. Soon he would be going into kidney failure and knew he needed a transplant. Emily's mother went immediately to get tested and found out she was a compatible donor; they were a perfect match. Her mother underwent the transplant surgery and saved her uncle’s life.
Emily hopes to work throughout the Door Community to make others aware of the importance of organ donation by indicating on their driver’s license that they wish to be a donor and to register online at the Wisconsin Donor Registry. She also hopes to organize blood drives in support of this important cause.
Support for Teens" throughout her year.
She chose this because of the tough time she experienced while her mother battled cancer. Looking for support outside of the family was tough and it was difficult to find others who truely understood the struggles she was facing.
It is Cora's mission to help create cancer support groups for teens as a safe haven for others who maybe going through the same situation or struggles that she did.
