Meet Our Titleholders
*Miss Capital City 2012 is Stephanie McGovern!
Jamie is 23 and lives in O'Fallon, IL . She recently completed her degree in early childhood education and will be teaching a special education class this fall. She performed her talent of Ballet en Pointe at the Miss Illinois Pageant in June and she shares her love of dance as a dance teacher at Taylor's Academy of Dance. As Miss Capital City, Jamie will share her platform of Alcohol Awareness and Prevention with Central Illinois and the state. We are so excited to have such a wonderful woman represent us as Miss Capital City 2011!
*Miss Capital City's Outstanding Teen 2012 is Kathleen Hunt!
Taylor is 16 and a Junior at Sycamore High School in Sycamore, IL where she is a member of their award-winning Spartanettes dance team. Taylor will spend her year as Miss Capital City's Outstanding Teen working to raise awareness of the need for fine arts funding for teens, and the benefits of becoming involved at a young age. She has been dancing since the age of 4, and hopes to continue for the rest of her life.
