Bowen Therapy has been used for over 40 years to successfully treat thousands of people suffering from a variety of illnesses.
Made up of gentle moves on soft tissue that stimulate energy flow, Bowen Therapy empowers the body's own resources to heal itself. It is a gentle form of body work in which very subtle moves performed over the muscles and connective tissue send messages deep into the body, retrieving cellular memory of a preferred, relaxed, balanced way of wellbeing. The technique addresses not only the musculo-skeletal framework, but also the fascia, nerves and internal organs.
Unlike many other hands-on-therapies, the Bowen Technique does not use forceful manipulation. It is safe to use on anyone from newborns to the aged and provides lasting relief from pain and discomfort.

By combining moves, the practitioner can either benefit the body as a whole or target a specific problem. Bowen Therapy can help you find relief from pain, long-term injuries and illnesses. It can improve health, flexibility and sporting performance. It increases relaxation and allows release from the negative effects of stress.
The most common problems/injuries benefited by Bowen Therapy are:
A treatment session can take anything from 15 minutes to an hour. However for the first visit, an hour is required to allow for assessment and treatment.
The client is normally treated lying on a massage table, and if required seated. All care is taken to ensure the comfort and modesty of the client throughout the session.
Throughout a session the majority of clients treated are so relaxed they often comment they could fall asleep and sometimes do so.
The moves are done first lying face down then lying on their back. There are deliberate pauses of 2-5 minutes between some moves. These pauses allow the moves to register and/or take effect within the body.
Sometimes a treatment elicits an immediate response, other times the body takes several days to fully process and work on the affected area. With severe ailments, a series of treatments may be required to achieve results.
The number of sessions required is determined on a case-by-case basis. Most clients experience relief from 2-3 sessions, spaced a 5-10 days apart. Other clients find regular fortnightly or monthly visits keep their body in check, especially those with severe ailments or where the condition is perpetuated through work or sport.
Adult cost per treatment - $70.00
Depending upon a client's individual requirements, initial session can take up to an hour.

Conditions requiring ongoing treatment attract a substantial discount when paid upfront and expires 6 months after the 1st session.
