Minex is a Peruvian mining and exploration company focused on the discovery and further development of copper, silver and gold deposits in Peru. Its recent mine discovery is the 2000 hectare deposit 680 meters over sea level 700 km north of Lima Peru in Cajamarca. Stratigraphy: The area is located in the andean foothills of the “Salas”formation that correspond to the lito-stratigraphic column unit with origin of the lower Paleozoic (Salas Formation) to the recent Quaternary. Soil: Soil type according to the FAO classification for the project area is classified as Leptosol Unit, belonging to the order Entisols. Climate: Variable, temperatures between 23 and 31 Celsius, rainfall between 140 and 430 mm annual average. Biological environment: desert scrub, Fauna: Few species of wild fauna, Arqueological environment: Not found in the project area.
