Mina's newest venture, L'Atelier de LaFleur has gone live! The full catalogue is currently being finessed with the full launch coming December of this year. Kaitlyn Regehr posted a mini interview with Mina about her new project on her blog.

Biography I was born on a July afternoon in 1983 in Toronto, and I've lived here all of my life. When I was just a little girl, I really loved to experiment with fun clothes and I liked to wear make-up and heels whenever I thought I could get away with it. My mother encouraged my eclectic taste in clothes and fostered the independent sense of style I like to call my own. When I first discovered historical fashion from the 18th and 19th centuries, I knew it was love. My passion for corsetry and the general opulence of the Rococo and Victorian eras only grew as time went on and I knew I wanted to make beautiful clothes and costumes forever. Now as a pin-up model and burlesque dancer, I'm lucky enough to let my imagination run riot with all manner of sumptuous fabrics, whimsical props and lots and lots of rhinestones! The 1940's have found a very special place in my heart (and wardrobe) and I love to be a glamour girl whenever possible. I enjoy all sorts of dancing, from swing to ballet. I try to incorporate all of these loves into my performances, and I think you'll find I'm a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to the striptease. The first fan dancer in Toronto, this act has become a specialty of mine. Sometimes I even get to teach my techniques to aspiring young divas through workshops and private lessons! I have been performing for nearly seven years now, and I've been lucky enough to travel the country with various productions. I'm so happy to have found a home working for Cirque Du Soleil making costumes. I still occasionally take on a handful of special commissions a year and couldn't ask for more. As a corsetiere and costumer for over a decade, Mina enjoys the satisfaction of creating all of her own costumes and has had the priviledge of dressing brides, actors, and chanteuses, many of her creations worn on stage by Toronto superstars!

Corsets and Costuming When Mina is not performing, she enjoys creating bespoke corsetry, millinery, lingerie, vintage and historical reproductions. She has been fitting corsets and other accoutrements for just over ten years now, catering to a discerning clientele.
