Make It Meadville is currently seeking a PT Main Street Manager. This person must have a desire to coordinate, fund raise and develop the downtown business district. The ideal individual would be someone who is from the Meadville area who is familar with the location and surrounding communities. Great opportunity for the right individual.
Mission
The goal of Make It Meadville is to preserve, promote and improve the unique historic character, arts, culture, and educational opportunities of downtown and act as a catalyst for economic development.

Located in northwestern Pennsylvania, Meadville will become a more active and livable downtown through increased economic. business and cultural opportunities. It will act as a gateway to promote the educational and medical facilities. We envision downtown as a vibrant healthy heart of the community and will develop downtown to increase the quality of life for current and future generations.
-As a college town- informing and marketing to the college community in the areas of retail, entertainment and diverse dining opportunities while marketing the college to the rest of the community.
-As an active city center-promoting walk ability through accessible transportation, well designed parking and clean and safe streetscapes, and a livable neighborhood with local amenities and services allowing a variety of residents, age, income and family status, to reside in the downtown area.
-As a cultural center-partnering with current art organizations and serving as an art incubator, especially in the areas of music, writing and theater and sponsoring activities such as festivals, entertainment and special events.
-As a county seat-promoting and emphasizing Meadville's important role as a center for government, banking and medical needs.
