My Design philosophy
I endeavour to produce images that look at the subject in a slightly different way, and hopefully have that wow factor.
My Inspiration
I'm interested in lots of things. This provides me with plenty of variety and means that I never get bored with my art.
My main interests are wildlife and animals, machinery, cars trains planes etc.
My other interest, Gliding has given me the opportunity to fly with soaring birds such as Buzzard and Kite.
I'm facinated by texture, form and the reflective quality of different surfaces in various light conditions. Trying to convey for instance, an animals fur or the chrome on a classic car requires great observation and sensitivity.
I will continue to push my art to new levels, so please keep an eye on this website.
My Materials
I work in a variety of media. Pastels, Coloured Pencil, Graphite Pencil and Watercolour.
I love the different challenges they present to the artist.
In contrast to the rich colours and expressiveness of Pastel, Graphite pencil can be made to render fine detail and tone.
