OUR SUCCESSTHE COMMUNITYEVENTSpicturepictureCommunity MuralsProfessional artists offer their services, while apprenticing young people in the community to collaborate their talents through murals. We have been commissioned to paint murals around NY City including The James E. Davis Memorial mural sponsored byRush Philanthropic Arts Foundation. Community GardensCHYC revitalizes abandoned lots and beautifies them with vegetables that are grown organically. There is an assortment of flowers. Community residents are able to participate in the agricultural process. Please contact us for more information.CHYC Food PantryThe CHYC Food Pantry provides fresh baked goods and produce to various communities daily. Our pantry headquarters is located at 11 McKeever Place, Brooklyn, NY, and it starts from 9am-2pm.Community ServiceFor each dollar we receive in public funding, $5.00 is returned to community residents in earned wages and other benefits. We have distributed over 10,000 lbs of clothing to the homeless.Collected and distributed thousands of boxes of clothing to the homeless locally and through natural disasters globally.We removed over 15 tons of debris from the community each summer.
