She takes us back to the excitement we felt as a little girl when we secretly dug through mom's purse to get the lipstick we weren't supposed to touch under any circumstance.
How pretty we felt when we looked in the mirrror.
How such a little thing could bring such a simple feeling of happyness.
Beauty is simple. Beauty is fun. So are you.
The first step is often the most challenging. It's scary to launch a new product.
It's your baby...so to speak. And nobody likes to be told their baby is ugly.
We nervously launched our first product in 2008 to a small group of stores in the professional beauty industry. I have to say, without their support there would be no Dame Von Smaak. Thanks for having faith in us.
Juicy Berry Lip Gloss is our first product and definitely about the fun stuff.
It was inspired by a strawberry shaped lip gloss my grandmother gave me when I was a little girl. I LOVED it. I took it everywhere I went. It was the coolest thing a girl could have and I felt like the prettiest little thing when I wore it. I was heartbroken when I had used up all the sweet, shimmery, strawberry flavored goodness in the container.
Imagine my suprise when I saw my strawberry on eBay last year! I missed the chance to get it and searched everywhere for someone who made them. - to no avail.
So...I decided to make my own. It's not exactly the same as my girlhood strawberry, but I love it just the same. I hope you will love it as much as I do.
