I truly appreciate life and believe that it’s the simple things that make it special, a facial expression, reflections of light or maybe a simple gesture.
My life’s vocation has been spent in a kitchen as a Chef and it was down this path that sparked my interest in photography. Chronicling my creations helped hone my photography skills and from there I realized I had found a fondness for capturing more than food images.
I’m extremely passionate about photography, I use in most cases natural light and minimal use of software to manipulate my images. I believe the image should represent the moment in time which is true to itself. If the photograph is for a client or of a client, I try to capture the image as best as I possibly can because in essence, you may not get a second chance for a once in a lifetime moment.
I use the best equipment I can afford. I shoot with a Canon 1D generation four, a 1Ds generation two and a host of L lens. To most that may not mean a lot but in the world of photography it can make the deference between a good image and a great image.
In the end, I believe that the moment of truth really comes with great fundamentals, great equipment and the knowledge to know how to use that equipment with precision. This to me is what freezes time in that special image, an image you will have for a lifetime
