About Me
Howard Polenberg, a career photographer has, for the past 15 years, been sharing his happy dedication to the art of photography with his
students at the Ocean County Vocational Technical School Brick center. By encouraging his students to enjoy photography as he does, and to put themselves on the line by entering photography competitions and exhibits, Howard has guided many of his students to win many medals in the New Jersey SkillsUSA Photography Competition. After participating in SKILLS USA for 14 years as host, Howard has served as Photography Technology Chair for five years. An effective mentor and popular teacher, he is also an Adjunct Professor of Photography at Ocean County College.
As part of a new project: Howard Polenberg, Photography and Design, he is creating a series of books of new and collected photographs titled Visual Journey. The first volume was printed and given as gifts to friends and family. Howard has also donated several of his photographs to charitable organizations for fundraising.
Howards work as art photographer; commercial, portrait and wedding photographer are beautiful examples of the lighting techniques and
visual composition he diligently teaches in the classroom. Look for his art photography work in future books and gallery shows.

Weddings:
Photography begins with the bride preparing for her wedding ceremony and ends with the bride and groom ready to embark on their honeymoon. All of the classic features of a traditional wedding album are included along with photographs of the guests for the bride and groom to remember. I teach you how to use your camera more effectively. Camera settings are important when taking photographs with film and digital cameras. I show you how to get the most out of your picture taking experience. by sharing the techniques professionals use - helping you to master every phase of the process.
Your new scanner, software, computer:
As a certified instructor of photography and computer software, I teach you how to navigate around your computer's operating system, use your software and operate your scanner. You will acquire a complete understanding of your equipment.
You will know how to get those photographs from your digital camera onto your computer, fix any problems with your photographs using today's photo editing software, and print out that image using the best settings for your printer.
