Polly Sonic is an artist, performer, puppeteer, theatrical designer, event producer, public art instigator, athlete, teacher and trouble maker. With her expansive circle of allies she's initiated uncommon occurrences in Connecticut such as Dr. Sketchy's burlesque life drawing, the New Haven Circus Collective, the Go-Go Revolution, and the RollerDurance fitness skating program. She relentlessly intervenes on the ordinary with participatory spectacles that cultivate joy, connection, bewilderment and hope in unexpected places.
Bloom where you are.
Polly has been performing with fire since 2004. Her specialty is fast spinning, high-tossing short staff; other fire skills include poi, fans, hoop, crown, and eating.
Street performance can change the world and should be encouraged everywhere. Polly contributes by performing as a honk band drum majorette, stilter, living statue, marching precussionist, fire dancer and puppeteer.
The Mermaid Statue

Polly dances and choreographs in boots and on wheels with her two high energy groups known for getting crowds dancing: the Solid Gold Nuggets retro 70s roller disco troop, and the Nouveaux Pony Banditos retro burlesque go-go dance trio. The Banditos most often perform 60s inspired choreography with the surf band, The Clams.

Polly has recently been creating her own shows, leading community puppet workshops, and building large spectacle puppets on commission. Polly co-teaches puppetry at Quinnipiac University with Bob Bresnick.
Luna's Sea has it's own website here:
Polly creates and performs short vaudeville acts for variety festivals with dance, serpentine silk whirling, musical saw, baton twirling and puppetry; producing costumes, sets and LED effects. She often cameoes with her novelty skills in staged theatrical shows.
