Melanie Harrison is the producer/creater of the cotton candy pin-up girs, and a California native, who was raised in Los Angeles CA.
She holds a Bachelors of Art's Degree in English Literature from CSU. Her new role as a Producer/Photographer came as a surprise to her, when while researaching for Black pin-up models for a photo shoot, she could not find any, so she felt compelled to do something that would change history, and that is how the cotton candy pin-up girls creation was born and is now her passion to uplift the image of Black women.

The beautiful ladies, are the Cotton Candy Pin-up Girls! Classic African American Women who represent the genre of the 1940's and 1950's era. At a time when African American women were not seen as beautiful, African American models were not able to model along side caucasion women. The Cotton Candy Pin-up Girls represent and pay tribute to this genre by portraying, class, beauty, intelligence, and undeniable style. And most of all, they are making history in this historical year of 2009.
