Megan Lawless was born in Kankakee, Illinois and raised in Holland, Michigan. After attending her aunt's wedding at a young age she decided to pursue fashion design with a focus on bridal and eveningwear. A recent graduate from the Savannah College of Art and Design, Megan is currently pursuing a career in the fashion design industry and producing various freelance projects in the meantime.
Megan has always been greatly inspired by lingerie because of its ability to combine the most intricate details with the simplest of silhouette. When it comes to design, she likes to keep this idea with her. Coming up with unique ways to make simplistic silhouettes stand out from the ordinary is Megan's staple whether it be with fabric, texture, drape or color.
Choosing fabrics is one of the most exciting parts of the design process for her. She loves playing with texture and color, mixing prints and experimenting with combinations. Putting together the perfect combination for a collection is exhilarating for her.
Bridal and eveningwear has always turned Megan's design sense on. A gown worn once has to be perfect. It has to make the wearer feel that she is the most beautiful woman in the room. It should provide her with confidence, femininity and beauty. She keeps this in mind every time she begins a collection.
Her other interests include cooking, music, nutrition, road trips to Michigan, and, of course, smiling as much as possible :)
