Testimonial
"A film is never really good unless the camera is an eye in the head of a poet." ~Orson Welles
In our view, watching a great film is like experiencing a whole other life through the eyes of a fascinating character. We follow their journey, feel their emotions, understand their motives, fall in love with the person they fall in love with, laugh with them, grieve with them, cry with them. We want to be captivated from the very beginning to the end. We do not want to know from the first shot how the story is going to end, neither do we want to be so distracted by the special effects that we are numbed to the actual storyline.
We believe that a strong, interesting character is far more effective within a story than constant action which, although visually impressive, often fails to emotionally involve the audience. The characters are the ones who carry the emotion, the ones people relate to and with whom they sympathise. Without enticing characters a story can easily fall flat, which is why we have chosen to focus a part of our company on capturing the real life stories of some of the worlds most glamourous, yet misunderstood film stars. Stars who lit up the screen with their enchanting smiles and "untouched" beauty, and who hid away some of the darkest secrets in order to keep up their media image.
Another part of our company will be writing and developing what we are calling New Classics: character-driven stories for film and television that we hope will endure as have the early, vintage Classics.
"I believe in manicures. I believe in overdressing. I believe in primping at leisure and wearing lipstick. I believe in pink. I believe happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day, and... I believe in miracles." ~Audrey Hepburn
"I didn't know who the hell I was.
I was whoever they wanted me to be."

Current Project Vivien Leigh
Vivien Leigh (named "Vivian" at birth) was the most popular and well loved British actress of the golden age of Hollywood - a dazzling vision of exquisite beauty, delicate grace, and breathtaking star quality. From her early childhood education, spent at the convent of the Sacred Heart, Vivien Leigh's hypnotising eyes and Cheshire cat smile leave all who come her way intrigued and in love. As determined as she is beautiful, she gracefully takes charge of her own destiny by stopping at nothing to achieve what she wants: her early marriage to Leigh Holman, her obsessive love for Laurence Olivier, and her almost dangerous determination to play Scarlett O'Hara in Gone With The Wind. Her social life dizzyingly global, Vivien frantically envelopes those around her with love, life, parties and laughter, as she soon becomes one of the world's most envied and respected actresses - Lady Olivier.
However, beneath Vivien's enchanting regal stance lies a dark and deeply distressing secret. Doomed and delicate, haunted and frail, she lives her magnificent life in a veiled sadness, struggling daily to cope with the extreme cruelties of a tragic mental illness - manic depression. As her career continues to soar, Vivien's personal life starts to reflect an extraordinary resemblance to her most famous roles. From Scarlett O'Hara, a fiery young woman determined to get what she wants, to Lady Hamilton, a beautiful lady of status caught up in a scandalous love affair, and eventually, Blanche DuBois, a tragic, wounded soul succumbing to her own madness as she longingly looks back on the life she once had.
As she struggles to battle an almost lifelong fight against tuberculosis, Vivien lurches between the glittering world of stardom, fame and beauty, and the brutal hell of electric shock treatments in a final attempt to cure her manic depression. But as her illness reaches the point of no return, her life grows even more painful when she is forced to suffer the heartbreaking separation from her Morpheus - Laurence Olivier: the man who stole her heart twenty years before, and for whom she'd lived her life ever since.
Our film pays homage to a great actress and follows her throughout her loving, courageous, haunting and incredible journey.
"Everyone said I was mad to try it.
They are often saying I am mad to try things." ~Vivien Leigh
Information Vivian
"Blanche is such a real part, the truth about a woman with everything stripped away. She is a tragic figure and I understand her." ~Vivien Leigh
"Vivian" is our first feature film in development about the life of the classic movie star, Vivien Leigh of "Gone With the Wind" and "A Streetcar Named Desire" fame, who struggled with manic-depression over 50 years ago at a time when it was kept secret, tuberculosis, and was married to Sir Laurence Olivier. The film genre is drama with attributes of love, passion, destruction, mental illness and tragedy as she lives valiantly to sustain her two loves: Larry and acting.
Our project has attracted interest by Hugo Vickers who wrote the definitive biography of the star, and was the adviser on the award-winning film, "The King's Speech." Mr. Vickers' book has been optioned for the film and he intends to become the adviser for it.
"Vivian" is being considered by Academy, BAFTA & SAG award-winning film production companies, plus other award-winners in the film and television industries.

EIS Scheme EIS Tax Scheme
The Enterprise Investment Scheme offers the following benefits for the investor; enhances tax relief of 30% which effectively decreases the sum at risk and increases the potential return on capital invested as well as zero (CGT) Capital Gains Tax and (IHT) Inheritance Tax.
30% Tax Relief: Each investor may claim back up to 30% income tax relief on investments not exceeding £500,000 per tax year, this means that the actual net amount invested for each £1000 is £700. Tax relief at 20% can be claimed if carried back to the previous tax year and offset against income tax. In effect with a £1m investment, £500,000 of it can be carried back to the previous tax year resulting in a total net cost of £750,000.
CGT Free: Shares that are held for 3 years or longer will be free of Capital Gains Tax on the proceeds once the client exits from the EIA investment.
CGT Deferral: Relief Liability dating back 3 years or forward 1 year can be deferred indefinitely at the relevant rate applicable at the time of the original gain. In addition to the indefinite deferral, there is also the potential to reduce the liability with other tax allowances over time in order to maximise efficiency.
IHT Free: After 2 years from the investment date, EIS qualifying investments fall outside the estate for IHT purposes, this allows considerable assets to be preserved 100% intact for future beneficiaries, free from the 40% IHT tax liability.
Higher rate Loss Relief: Losses can be offset against either income tax or Capital Gains Tax in the current or previous tax year. In the case of a 50% income tax payer a £10,000 investment would have already received £3,000 of income tax relief, leaving £7,000 to be offset against income tax resulting in a maximum exposure of £3,500 i.e. 35 pence in the pound. Offsetting against CGT under the same scenario at a rate of 28% liability would provide an exposure of around 50 pence in the pound.
( Note: The above information is a brief summary of the key benefits of utilising EIS to mitigate taxes and is for illustrative purposes only. Clients should always seek professional advice on their individual tax position before investing in an EIS.)
