About McGoozer McGoozer are fronted by singer/songwriter “McGoo”, who has performed extensively nationally and internationally with many high profile artists including singing with Mike and the Mechanics supporting Phil Collins on his world tour performing in front of audiences of up to 74 thousand. You might also recognise his voice from the McDonalds "I'm lovin' it" advertisement campaign.
McGoo has recently returned from a string of gigs in New York, Nashville and New Orleans including the world famous Tootsies Orchid Lounge on The Billy Block Show, on a mini US tour where he then got invited to sing the US national anthem at the East Lincoln Speedway race track in Charlotte, North Carloina.
Recent US visits led to the recording of new CD, Walk Run Fly, Spearheaded by Nashville music promoter, radio Dj and musician, Billy Block, who mad it possible for McGoo to work with 2 Grammy winning producers, Gary Nicholson and Randy Kohrs.
Walk Run Fly is now available on itunes and a full promotional tour is planned throughout the summer and the rest of the year.
Recently, McGoo has been co-writing with David Austin and Niall Flynn, both of whom have written hits for George Michael, Alison Moyet and many others. He is currently in the middle of recording this material, due for release later this year.
Previous McGoozer gigs have also included Glastonbury festival, The Astoria, Islington Academy, The Clapham Grand, Cafe de Paris, the Buzz Night festival at Bush Hall (Shepherds Bush), The Bedford, "The Venue" theatre in Leicester Square, and the Isle of Wight festival, among others.
McGoozer recently won the UK final of the Emergenza Unsigned competition which guaranteed them a place at the World final at the Taubertal festival in Rothenburg, Germany (Headlined by Pink and Mika) where lead singer, McGoo, picked up the award for best singer throughout , competing against over 6000 bands worldwide.
