MAD VIEWERS
MAD Viewers is an informal astronomy observing group which gets together throughout the winter (September to March) in a local pub near a dark site. We go even if the weather is a bit unpromising
(it is a pub, after all!) but not if it's dense fog or raining heavily. Newcomers are always welcome.
We meet inside The Red Lion, Kilmington from 8pm on the first Wednesday of the month, and observe from White Sheet Hill nearby.
There is no charge for MAD Viewers and no pre-booking; you just turn up on the night if you feel like it. Some of us always bring telescopes or binoculars, so there will be something for you to look through. If you want to bring your own, please do; and if you need a hand to use it, someone will be available to help.
Astronomy is a huge subject and no-one knows everything, so we share what knowledge we have. Don't be shy if you are interested but don't know anything yet - just ask; we all started that way
The next Madviewers is at the Red Lion, Kilmington from 8pm on Wednesday 7th of March
