Mary's passion for her craft began as a child growing up in rural Tennessee where her mother, Helen Loftis, was her inspiration. In the south during The Great Depression, many families had to be self sufficient. They tended to crops and raised livestock for food. Clothing, bedding materials, soaps and many other necessities were hand made by family members from available materials.
Out of necessity and from humble beginnings came Mary's love for crafts. Since then, Mary has performed alterations and created quality hand made items for businesses and individuals for more than 50 years. Mary has perfected a variety of advanced techniques that include crochet, knitting, sewing & alterations, quilting, clothing construction and pattern making. Mary's experience and passion for her craft can be seen in each of her creations.
