Welcome to the Home of Authentic Imagawayaki
Imagawayaki is a traditional Japanese street and festival dessert/snack which dates back to 1700s in Japan's pre-modern era. This popular dessert/snack is made of waffle-like batter on the outside, and filled with a variety of fillings from sweet to savory.
Part of the Imagawayaki experience, aside from its mouth watering taste, is seeing it made. We provide this unique experience by cooking freshly made-to-order Imagawayaki in front of our customers before they are devoured to satisfy hungry appetites.

Imagawayaki, amongst other Japanese snacks, has been a big part of our growing ups in Asia. As Asian Americans now living in the states, we are always in search for good food that are familiar to our palates. To our surprise, this is one of a few we haven't come across a lot and would love to see more of it.
So driven by the love for food and desire to recreate the authentic Japanese pastries we experienced as kids Marumaru was established to bring that tasty experience back from the past and from abroad to serve the appetites of bay area communities.
