From: God
To: You!
You can receive this gift right now. All that is required is that you confess to God that you are a sinner and repent (meaning to change your mind and accept God's Word and God's commands).
If you will bow your heart and life to Jesus and call him Lord, believing that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
You can use this simple prayer of repentence and salvation to make peace with God today.
"God of all Creation,I am a sinner. I believe that you sent your Son Jesus Christ to die for me. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. Forgive me of my sins and grant me the gift of Your righteousness. Live in my heart and be my God. I will follow You and obey you until the day you take me to heaven.
Thank you Father for loving me and giving Jesus to die for me. In His name I pray-Amen."
If you pray that prayer with all your heart, God is now your Father and you are His child! There is so much He wants to teach you about the new life you have been given. God has promises for victory and many blessings that will fill your life as you trust and follow Him.
I encourage you to do three things
1. Pray every day and talk to God
2. Read the Holy Bible (start in John)
3. Ask God to lead you to a church where you can grow and learn and serve God and fellowship with His people.
Write to us at churchonthelake@yahoo.com and let us know of your new life!
Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit as God in the flesh. He grew up from infancy to manhood experiencing all the feelings, temptations and struggles that face us all. Yet he did something no other human being ever did. He lived a sinless life.
Jesus never once sinned and broke God's perfect law. As a result, he was worthy to become a priceless substitute for all mankind. Jesus although he had done no wrong, was nailed to a cross by the corrupt religion and government that is rooted deep in the sin nature that infects us all. Upon death, Jesus lay in the grave for three days until He was resurrected to life by the power of God.
In the cosmic court of God's justice, Jesus blood became a ransom for our souls. God declared that whoever puts thier trust in Jesus sacrifice would be instantly forgiven of all past sins and what's more, would be given a new nature to hold the most precious gift anyone could ever receive. That is the gift of God's own righteousness credited to us by our faith. Jesus took the punishment we deserved and gave us his right standing before God.
When we put our faith in Jesus death, burial and resurrection, we are born again and saved from the judgement of hell. God writes our name down in heaven as one who will be with Him in eternity.
With this gift he also gives us the Holy Spirit to live in our hearts and teach us, lead us and empower us for victorious living.
Some one once said, "Religion is man's search to find God. The Gospel is God's search to find man. There are many religions, but only one Gospel.
Have you heard the gospel of Jesus Christ? It is a gift from God to whosoever would believe in His plan of salvation for all mankind.
God says that all people are prisoners of sin and unrighteoussness. We are born with a inescapable nature that is hostile to our creators will. That nature causes us to be sinners from the day we are born and puts us under the judgement of God. That judgement is death.
No matter how hard we may try to be good or live right, nothing we try to do can ever be good enough to earn a place for us in heaven. The only place left for sinners to go upon death is hell where the devil and his angels are also sentenced. This is a frightening reality every human being must come to grips with.
But God does not want you and I to go to hell. At the same time, he cannot allow sin to go unpunished.
God in his love for us all devised a plan to punish sin and at the same time free all of us from it's power. His plan was to come to earth in the form of a man born of a virgin and to suffer our judgement for us.
