Christmas is getting real close now, and I just absolutely LOVE this time of the year!! All the decorations, the preparation time with all kinds of baking and taste testing.
My mum just made a good point the other day, one that really got me thinking. She said, why are there no christmas songs that focus on the sheperds' experience? After all, for them it was a completely normal day. Just another day on the job...until the angels showed up obviously. I mean, did they all actually get excited? Were there any who said"no, we can't leave the sheep". Or "yea, riiight...as if the messiah is born. Guys, have you all lost your minds??"
How was it really? I wonder...

You know, I was just sitting here, thinking to myself; what should one write in a blog? And for what reason? I suppose it could be fun for friends and family to pop in to see what's going on in one's life, but are there really people around who surf the internet randomly? Just in search for something to do, something to read, or people to talk to? I'd really like to know. Cause I think I'd find that rather boring...anyone else feel the same??

So, I think my website is just about ready to launch, wich is quite exciting, and slightly strange. I must admit, I start wondering who will come onto my site, who will read what I write, and what on earth will you think about it? Will I bore you to death, or will I be able to do the impossible - keeping it worth popping by??

Started making my very own, very first website...thank you wix.com! Hopefully, with time, I'll be able to put out some of my own music here - I just have to get my songwriting out of it's current boringity...(and yes, I did just make that word up. It makes sense! - the stage of being boring and lame: boringity)

I'm realizing what a crazy and weird life I've chosen...no matter where we (my husband and I) are in the world we'll always be far away from many of our loved ones. We're in Norway and we're at least 37 hours away from family. Then we go to New Zealand and we're at least 37 hours away from family. And when we're in India we've got family far away to the north, and far away to the south. Oh man...
One thing though, which is so different this time leaving Norway, is that I'm actually feeling like I'm going home! Home to Jon's and my home in New Zealand. How strange, but at the same time great!!

Well, happy new years everyone!! Sure hope you got to eat your dinner and play with fireworks! ...I was hanging over a bucket or a toilet seat feeling like my body totally hated me - we all had the noro virus in my family. Well, actually, there were two (out of 9) who somehow didn't get it.
...Super genes??
All I can say now is that I hope this year will be a little more gracefull, a little more beautiful, and have a little more every day glamour than the way it started for me.
