Opotiki College is a school which puts the individual needs of the student foremost. It creates a well-structured, secure environment for its students so that they feel confident enough to express their opinions but at the same time understand the importance of respecting those of others. It creates a no fear environment so that students feel supported and self-assured and can grow as mature, self-respecting, compassionate adults. It creates an environment which promotes an attitude of second best is never good enough where striving for excellence in all respects is the norm.
