What is DeMolay?
Our History
What We Do
DeMolay is the premier Youth Group for all young men from ages 12 to 21. DeMolay doesn't stop there, we also involve our families and communities. We are striving to make ourselves better leaders and young men, while also trying to better our community and those around us.
In the simplest of terms DeMolay is a Youth Fraternity that focuses on fun, friendship, and the training of leadership skills that will last a lifetime and prove themselves to be invaluable.
The Order of DeMolay started almost a century ago in Kansas City, Missouri in the year of 1919. Under the guidance of Frank S. Land, a local mason, nine young men formed DeMolay. They all were there for a common purpose, they needed brotherhood and guidance in their life.
Since then, DeMolay has provided just that for over a million young men. These young men include John Wayne, Walt Disney, Neil Armstrong, Willard Scott, and President Bill Clinton. DeMolay spans all walks of life.
The better question would be, what don't we do?
With very few exceptions Members of DeMolay can pretty much plan anything. Usually the members come up with an idea, plan it, fundraise if necessary, and then hold the event!
That being said, certain things are more popular such as dances, volunteering in the community, paintball, video games and sports! But the possibilites are endless.
