Finalist project for the "International competition for young photographers 'Sotiri"2011"
under the title:
"Intimate Propaganda: Family photographs"
This project is made of a series of old family photographs digitally manipulated in order to change their meaning.
With this work, the decades intertwine with each other, not only revealing the difference and evolution of time and minds but also the difference of thoughts and reality.
Mixing different realities untouched in time making their subjects come alive and question the happiness enclosed in the image, questioning the grief and sadness behind it and wondering if it all went terribly wrong.

OVERACHIEVER is, by definition, someone who is more successful than expected, either finishing a task or an action.
someone that tries too hard to be or achieve something, normally because one's capacity of being so naturally is non-existing.
trying too hard can lead to the lack of personality, however, superficiality can be gained.
sometimes, people are caught in the confusion.
