HEATHER LOUISE PARKER
Heather Louise Parker came to film from a background in theatre , music and writing, and received a Masters in Directing from UCLA. After working at Warner Bros., she became interested in using her talents to help smaller organizations, and began producing the feature documentary about the LA River, "Rock the Boat." Whether working as a director or producer, she blends her love for music with an astute sense of story and cohesiveness. She lives in Van Nuys with her partner and their two rescued dogs.
THEA LUCIA
Born and raised in Romania, in 1995, Thea received an MFA from the University of Washington, and has studied with world masters of theatre. Since 2002, she has dedicated her time exclusively to film directing, with her attention keenly focused on critical social issues. Her documentary on human trafficking, "I just keep quiet," won the Pegasus Award for Excellence - the highest honor for government-sponsored projects, and she is the Director of three films about the LA River including the feature length "Rock the Boat." Thea is a recipient of several scholarships, fellowships and awards, including the Goethe Institute Fellowships for Theatre Professionals, the Valerie Flemming scholarship, the W.W. Stout Fellowship. She lives and works in Venice, CA with her husband and their two children.
