The Kasbah Moroccan Restaurant
The Kasbah has been open since December 2009. The Kasbah is a place to relax and enjoy life. It is a place to let your senses embrace the sights, sounds, and aromas of Morocco.
We have brought back the family legacy of the original Mataam Fez and Fez restaurants, with Chef Zak, the brother of one of the founders, adding his own special spice to the mix.
Executive Chef Zakaria Tadlaoui
Tadlaoui, born in Marrakech, Morocco, came to Colorado in 1984. The restaurant business runs in Tadlaoui's family; 45 years ago his sister, Rita Benjelloun and her husband opened Mataam Fez, a Moroccan restaurant in Denver, and expanded to Boulder, Colorado Springs and Vail. Since then, various partners have taken over some of these locations. Rafih Benjelloun still owns Imperial Fez in Atlanta.
Chef Zak was an integral part of the success of the original Fez restaurants in Vail and Atlanta. He then brought the same concept to Florida under the "Kasbah" name, with great success.
Now that Chef Zak has come back to his Colorado roots, he has brought the Fez family legacy back to the Boulder area, with fresh rich Moroccan decor and hand-picked belly dancers to celebrate life Moroccan-style.
With over 25 years of experience in the Moroccan restaurant business, Chef Zak provides the authentic food and the atmosphere of Morocco with his Dinner & Show at the Kasbah Moroccan Restaurant.
