About
My name is Maidie Rosén and I live in a town called Östersund in the middle of Sweden. All my life has been included with dogs. My father was a hunter so we always had hunting dogs at home. My mother had poodles.
When I was 15 I got my first own dog, a german shepherd male. After several years with german shepherd I met my first afghanhound in the late 70's. It was a male who was called "Sang" and I used to baby sit him. At that point I lost my heart to the afghanhound breed!
In 1983 I got my first own afghanhound. It was a redbrindle bitch, Mandrill's Auriga. At home we called her "Flicka". Although she was ill nearly all her life she became a lovely member of our family. My second and third afghans were also bitches and came from kennel Sayyad. I've also had a male from kennel Gold'N Copper.
At the moment I have a rescue afghan bitch and a whippet bitch from kennel Caramount. I have during the years been visiting several dogshows with my dogs, and the results has been quite good.
Handling is a thing I also like. I have been handling several breeds at dogshows, for ex. afghans, irish wolfhounds and whippets. Another thing I like is to take photos. The camera follows me everywhere!
Well, this was a little about me. I hope you'll enjoy the visit on my homepage!
