I have been teaching Kindergarten at River Ridge since 1999. I was a stay at home mom with my 3 children running a daycare before stepping into the work force . After teaching a year I went back to school to get my Masters Degree in curriculum Development. I love teaching Kindergarten and being part of the River Ridge family!
Mrs. Wurster
I began teaching at River Ridge in 2004. When I first began, I was teaching second grade and then was given the opportunity to move to Kindergarten! I love it! With my previous teaching assignments, this was a perfect fit! Before coming to this school, I taught first grade and Reading Recovery in Rock Falls for two years and then in the Freeport Schools for another five.
In 2005, I earned my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
I live in Elizabeth with my husband and three beautiful children.
Philosophy:
We believe that all children can learn and we will do our best to make your child's Kindergarten education the best one it can be. We also believe that education works best when there is a bridge between school and home.
