Challenge Absolutely Positively Affirmation ChallengeWhat a great opportunity to change your life, perception and attitude...On the 1st of January we are inviting you to join the Absolutely Positively Affirmation Challenge!We would like you to create and use your affirmation everyday for the month of January, in order to dissolve negative self talk, patterns and perceptions and create a more positive, abundant self, so that you can flourish and shine into the new year!Whilst you work hard to create your change you will also be helping others...This is a fundraising event where all the proceeds are given via Everyday Hero to headspace the National Youth Mental Health Foundation, helping young people aged 12 to 25 get back on track.Supporting the work of...Absolutely Positively Affirmation Challenge is solely created and ran by Renee Longworth of Energy Remedy Therapies 610 Pacific Highway, Belmont, NSW 2280. www.energyremedy.com.au, mail_energyremedy.com.au, 0403918223.

What's Involved What's InvolvedThe willingness to change a familiar negative pattern or self talkCreating or finding an affirmation to disolve the negative pattern and create a Absolutely Positively new you!Repeating your affirmation at least 5 times at any one time, at least twice a day Repeating the affirmation at least 5 times everytime you are aware your negative pattern has surfacedThe choice to join our Blog and write an entry (can be anything from one word to an essay or likened to a status update) at least 3 times a week about your Absolutely Positively Affirmation Challenge experienceParticipate in random affirmation techniques when you receive them via text or email Donate $20 to headspace via Everyday Hero upon registration and encourage friends and family to sponsor youThe choice to write a conclusion of your experience ( a paragraph or more) at the end of the month how the Absolutely Positively Affirmation Challenge has shifted or changed your life!

Details... Details...Step 1. Become aware of your negative patterns and choose what you wish to changeBecome aware of one of your negative patterns or self talk which you would like to change by using a positive affirmation. Unfortunately most of us have at least one negative pattern or statement replaying in our thoughts; sometimes consciously and others not. e.g. 'Life is a struggle' or 'I wouldn't be able to do that, I'm not smart enough'.Step 2. Create your Absolutely Positively AffirmationNow that you have clarified which of your negative self talk you wish to change, it's time for you to create or find an affirmation which will dissolve the negative statement and create positive change. Your Absolutely Positively Affirmation will only consist of positive words e.g. 'I let go and breathe with health and with ease.' instead of using double negative statements e.g. 'I no longer smoke'. If you have trouble with creating an affirmation yourself you may wish to google Louise Hay or Doreen Virtue as they use affirmations regulary in their work.Step 3. Register before 1st January 2012Click on the tab 'Register' and fill in your details including a fetching happy snap of yourself; to be placed in our 'Participants Gallery' on our website. Your contact details are only used for the Absolutely Positively Affirmation Challenge. Step 4. Information you will recieve, donation and then tell your friends!You will then receive a welcome email within 24hours of registration outlining how to register with our Energy Remedy Team on Everyday Hero to raise money for headspace. Once you have donated $20 to headspace, you are ready to share your Absolutely Positively Affirmation Challenge with your friends and family via email, facebook and twitter. Everyday Hero has all the instructions how to do this on their website.The email will also have instructions on how to join, if you choose, our Absolutely Positively Blog in order to record your experience. This is a great way to clarify how the energy or your perception is shifting and it also helps others who may feel a little isolated and who may relate to your personal journey.Step 5. It's Affirmation Time!1st January 2012 will be your first day of your challenge! From this day to the end of January you will be repeating your affirmation at least twice a day and at least 5 times in one go. This may be done outloud or mentally to yourself. (Outloud is best!)You will receive an encouraging email once a week throughout the challenge and random emails or texts for you to participate in 'Special' Affirmation Challenges e.g. you must sing your affirmation!If you choose to join the bloggers... you will be blogging your experiences at least 3 times a week, it can be everyday, even twice a day if you wish. You can write about anything which may come up for you during the challenge and express as much or as little personal information as you feel comfortable. Your blog entry can be one word or an essay or likened to a social network status update. Remember though, no profantities, obscene photos or names of others in your blog or your post will be deleted. Hopefully your blog will encourage others, bring awareness to your own self healing and inspire the team!Important! - Absolutely Positively Affirmation Challenge is recommended for 18yrs age and older only! When we embark on a journey of self healing we sometimes come across things that we don't like to see or face. Sometimes it may be things about ourselves we don't like or have pushed down in order to try and forget or sometimes past events may resurface in order for us to heal that situation. It is recommended for you to tell at least one person from your own support network that you are intending to participate in this challenge and ask them if they can be a support buddy if you feel like you need an ear and get them to keep an eye on you in case they feel you need extra support . It is also recommended for you to seek the service of a professional counsellor, doctor, psychologist if you have a strong response to this challenge. If you have seen on one of these professionals in the past it is recommended you ask them if it is advisable for you to participate.All participants are responsible for their own wellbeing and emotional/mental health.If you have any questions in regards to the challenge itself please contact Renee Longworth mail_energyremedy.com.auStep 6. Conclusion31st January 2012 will be your last day of your Absolutely Positively Affirmation Challenge. Yipee you made it! You will then receive a congratulations email and feedback form to complete. In this form you can choose to write a conclusion to your Affirmation experience which will be published with others on our website.Your conclusion can be about whether your affirmation positively changed your perception or circumstances. This is a great way to reflect on your month and notices the changes which may have occured... you also get a chance to read everyone elses!Well done you did it! Absolutely Positively!

Affirmations?

What are Affirmations?Affirmations are simple statements affirming a mental thought or belief pattern. They may be made consciously or subconsciously, positively or negatively. Everyone uses affirmations whether they have paid attention to them or not. How many times have you said or thought a certain phrase? e.g. 'I can't afford that', 'Flying is scary' or 'I love being me'Words are powerful and may have strong belief systems or emotional attachments linked to words. A word for someone may remind them of their childhood or bring back a challenging period in another persons life. e.g. 'Falling' - this may have been a fun experience as a child like falling backwards into your family pool at a time in your life when you were happy, supported and loved. This word for someone else may take them back to a time when maybe they fell off a horse and broke a bone causing pain and anguish. To me when I think of 'Falling' it reminds me of scraped knees and running around my home town as a child having fun and walking on roads bare foot. So when you start to place these words into a statement they become very powerful and can create your reality. Have you ever heard someone say 'You talked yourself into it!' Words and statements and the intent behind them, have an energy and with energy we create. Affirmations also follow and are reflections of our belief system, so once we start using positive affirmations so too does our belief system take on that positive energy... it is Life changing.How to use AffirmationsRepetitionTo truly change a belief or thought process we need to use repetition to flood our subconscious mind with a new mantra. So repeating your affirmation at least 5 times, twice a day is a good start... more is better. It is like practice, the more you do something the better able at it you become.There are so many techniques you can use to enhance the experience e.g. writing, singing, painting your affirmation... use your imagination!PositivityAs we already know our words are powerful so choosing the right words for your affirmation is essential for a positive and successful outcome. Only use positive words and not any negatives e.g. 'I enjoy flying' as opposed to 'I am no longer scared of flying' . The last statement is a double negative and the subcious mind may only register the keywords 'scared' and 'flying'.SO remember to be Absolutely Positively positive!Present TenseAlways use the present tense in your statement as if you have already achieved your goal. If you use future tense, e.g. 'I want to be free' all you may achieve is the 'want' of freedom, by bringing the statement into the present it helps shift your mind set and may start to visual yourself already achieving your goal e.g. 'I am free' or 'I choose to be free'.Having Difficulty?If you are having difficulty with creating an Absolutely Positively Affirmation which is personal to your challenge, try Louise Hay or Doreen Virtue, these two well known spiritual healing authors use them in their work often. Also a good idea is to ask for assistance from a friend or family member who knows you well... and remember you can always drop me an email to ask for some tips.Goodluck with your challenge!

Hi...I am an Energetic and Spiritual Healing Practitioner and Meditation Facilitator practicing from my own (brand new!) clinic called Energy Remedy Therapies in Belmont NSW. www.energyremedy.com.au I had no intention of this little personal challenge getting to the point where I have now created a entire website for it! But somehow my Affirmation Challenge snowballed and I followed my guidance and here we are!I have always loved the concept of affirmations and know that our words and thoughts have power and can create our reality. At different times throughout my life I would choose an affirmation in order to assist me with changing my perception about a particular negative pattern I may have been holding. I would repeat my affirmation for maybe only a few days and then forget! This was very frustrating as I would only remember the affirmation once the negative pattern surfaced again!Currently one of my major negative patterns has resurfaced! With the start my new business, my partner also starting a new career, a 3 year old and new baby of 8months, both myself and my partner have jumped into the unknown, holding our noses and trying to make a big splash. Our trust in the Universe to provide for us has never been so... essential!So...being sick and tired (interesting choice of words) of having a fear of lack and the pattern of 'struggle' in life... I wanted to change it! And felt that this pattern wasn't going to shift on its own and felt the need to consciously change my perception of my situation in order to create more abundance in order to dissolve this fear of lack which creates anxiety, stress and at times panic.Now... please don't get me wrong... I am grateful for all the wonderful people and gifts I have in my life, the most important is that I have loving, healthy and supportive family and friends! I am also fortunate enough to have a roof over my head, electricity to allow me to feed my family fresh food, I have a refridgerator and was also lucky enough to be born into a country where we are provided free health care and without war on our soil... I could go on but I am sure you understand. So yes I am grateful for all these things and more... though there is still that niggling fear which sometimes rears its head.So I decided recently to commit myself for 1 month of repeating an affirmation to improve the way I looked at my situation in order to no longer hold that fear and to 'truly' believe in the affirmation. For me to strengthen that committment, what better way, I thought, than to get others involved... this not only provides a challenge for others regarding their own self healing but also holds me accountable to mine!The whole idea then snowballed and ideas started to overflow... I am a big believer in community work and have been trying to find ways in which I can still run a viable business and assist in community projects along the way. Once I realised we could do this challenge for charity it brought a whole new dimension to the challenge with a stronger holistic purpose. Not only will we be helping ourselves (which has a positive knock on affect to those around us) but we will also be assisting others by providing some funds to support headspace and the services they provide. It's a win, win, win situation!I have chosen headspace purely because I believe our youth needs this service to be available to them. I have known more than enough people in my life who would have benefited from the services and support they provide. If you decide to particpate in the Absolutely Positively Affirmation Challenge I wish you all the best and can't wait to take this journey with you into new positive awareness and I thank you for your belief and support in this challenge.
