Lyall has always enjoyed playing with puppets, but one day, something went wrong with his brain and decided he would take puppetry “seriously”.
He went to study puppetry at Uni, at the Victorian College of the Arts, and as well as completing that course has also had the opportunity to study with international Artists such as Mummanchanz, Ronnie Burkett, Eric and Innes Bass of Sandglass theatre, and Philippe Genty.
He has built puppets for various different projects, such as the Victorian Ballet’s staging of the Nutcracker Suite, Lyric Opera’s La Cenerentola, and for various short films.
As well as building Lyall enjoys performing, having performed with the puppets in La Cenerentola, various outdoor gigs, theatre productions and short films such as Facing Rupert and Beatrice her Beast and the Man from the City and internet TV project the True Blue News Show.
This are the "talking" puppets that I have.
We have a basic range of puppets currently available.
Each of the puppets below are on average 30 -35cms
Also available for purchase are carry bags for $5 and little "bins" that can be used for performing for $10.
