The Wedding Planner Society at Liberty University was founded in the Spring of 2010 by Kelley Elyse Rucker. Since its establishment, the society has grown from 35 members to over 70 active members. The WPS has hosted two formal Induction Ceremonies and numerous training sessions held in venues or businesses such as West Manor, Church Street Bridal, and Bill's Pastry Shop. The society proudly works hand in hand with the Central Virginia Bridal Guide to network with wedding professionals in the area!

Statement of Purpose:
To train and develop students in the Wedding Planning field by exposing them to various events and speakers.
To provide encouragement and advising for students who are pursuing a career in Wedding/event Planning.
To facilitate in the planning and coordination of weddings for students who are getting married.
To serve the community through free public or private events that benefit soon to be brides.
Mission Statement:
To develop and equip Christ centered students to become Wedding and Event planners.
