Hoof and Horn Leather

unique products from responsible sources
Hoof and Horn Leather is a responsible small business that strives to keep as much of our product as green as we can.
A huge portion of our leather comes from the odds and ends and small fragments from a business with which we work closely (also leather crafters) .
Using pre-consumer recycling Hoof and Horn can put to use the surplus ends and remaining smaller pieces of hide that are unusable to them.
Upon attending Pioneer Days as a 4th grader, Tiffany learned that leather craft was a super amusing endeavor. Stamping horseshoes on scrap leather, identifying poison oak, and making adobe bricks was a pretty good time, but the leather stuck.
Tiffany met Ana Poe of Paco Collars some 20 years after Pioneering and took on a leather crafting Internship, beveling and dyeing her way to the top. Patiently, Ana taught Tiffany all of the steps of constructing a well-made product. As Tiffanys interest faded from Dog gear to her own designs, Ana set her free into the Craft world with a new trade under her belt. Now Tiffany and the Hoof and Horn crew are pioneering their way in the leather fashion world.
Amanda found her interest in leather by accident. Literally. She broke her foot carrying her brother and that put her Dance career on hold. Tiffany was teaching a small workshop on leather at a Summer camp in Mendocino that both had attended for years. Instead of frolicking in the woods Amanda was attached to workshops and classes. Leather came naturally. The simple crafts that Tiffany offered in class were expanded on and reinvented by Amanda and by the end of 2 weeks a new intern was born. Amanda is consistent ,creative and constantly coming up with new ideas for Hoof and Horn. She also built our website.
Drawing, drafting, painting, design, writing, carpentry these things come easy to Nicholas. With this background in construction, crafts and fine arts, Nicholas brings his jack-of-all-trades approach to Hoof and Horn. He finds leather a pleasantly organic and low stress medium and is continually adding to and fine-tuning the catalog. Oh, and he designed the logo.
