EP DESCRIPTION:
Jerry Mane presents Jungle Stories EP. Inspired by the sounds of the Jungle the four tracks progress from drum’n’bass and jungle thru to dubstep and minimal tech house all the while making you feel like you’re on some sort of weird audio safari, deep in the jungle.
Bongo Call is a solid liquid dnb track with tight breakbeats, synthed basslines and uber sampling that is consistent with Jerry Mane’s output. Things then get pretty crazy with the track Jahgular Jungle proving to be a relentless assault on the aural senses. The track makes you feel like your lost in the dense jungle undergrowth on the run from a feisty tiger with a roar as vicious as the amen break that Jerry Mane relentlessly mashes amongst samples of creatures and African percussion sounds. Things get a little down and dirty with Junglestep providing Jerry Manes take on a ‘jungle’ influenced exploration of dubstep. The EP finishes with a minimal tech house tune that seems to call up all manner of creatures from the depths of the jungle and leaves you with the feeling that this is not the last we have heard from Jerry Mane.
