Once upon a time, a long time ago...
Eric & Anne met in April 2004 when they both worked at a bookstore. Falling in love with his Ben-Affleck looks and inimitable singing voice, she decided to woo him like any girl might...through useless trivia. After countless trips to the cafe, looking for an excuse to talk to him, she finally gained his attention...and a caffeine addiction.
Eric proposed at midnight on New Years 2010. Like a scene in an indie romance, they were shoveling grapes in their mouth to bring luck for the new year, and as Anne guzzled sparkling cider to wash them down, he pulled the glass out of her hand and dropped down on one knee. Then, mustering up all the skills he had gained through 4 years of high school Spanish class and two trips to Spain, he said
This silly couple will be saying "We do" in Autumn of 2011 (which Eric will pronounce as twenty-eleven and Anne as twothousandandeleven) in an as yet to be determined manner.
This will be the seventh Autumn they have spent together, but the first one in which this geeky girl will not be in school. What great timing! They will remember their first date, spent on a playground where Eric gave Anne advice about her first Fall semester at Rutgers and taught her to play tic-tac-toe.
