His Holiness Living Buddha Lian-Sheng

The lineage root guru of True Buddha School: Living Buddha Lian-ShengGrand Master Lu Sheng-YenLiving Buddha Lian-Sheng, also revered as Grand Master, is the root lineage guru of True Buddha School. His emanation is from Mahavairocana to Locana to Padmakumara. Grand Master holds lineage from Ningma, Kagyu, Sakya and Gelug schools of Tibetan Buddhism and has attained the highest fruition in all four orders: Dzogchen, Mahamudra and The Six Yogas of Naropa, Great Completion, and Yamantaka.Upholding his vow to liberate sentient beings at any cost, he shows the swiftest way to liberation. He teaches both exoteric and esoteric Buddhism as well as elements on Zen and Taoism, with emphasis on actual practice and integration of the teachings into daily lives. The quintessence of his personal journey, cultivation methods and realizations are embodied in True Buddha Tantra, a powerful and fruitful means well-suite for todays world.As of 2011, over 5 million people have taken refuge in the True Buddha School and over 300 chapters world-wide, the True Buddha School is recognized as a major component in Buddhism today. As a true guru with boundless compassion and sublime spiritual attainments, he provides an excellent exemplar for spiritual cultivators in this degenerate age. He leads a disciplined life of spiritual practice, teaching, writing, and painting. He has written over 220 books in Chinese in topics such as Tantric Buddhism, Geomancy, Zen Buddhism, and Taoism. Many of these books are now being translated into English and various other languages.

Intro to Lotus Light Presiding Vajra Master Lian Tzi

Vajra Master Lian Tzi is dynamic and vibrant, yet always dignified and reverent. She brings traditional Buddhist philosophies and values to today’s modern world with keen insight and a contemporary flair. A university graduate in English Literature and an extremely successful businesswoman, she relinquished her successes and a comfortable life to take her Buddhist nun’s vows in 1995. In addition to being the presiding master at the Lotus Light Lei Zang Si temple in Vancouver, she is also the president of the Lotus Light Charity Society (Vancouver) and the publisher and Editor-in-Chief of the True Buddha News, a weekly international Buddhist newspaper. In a role traditionally associated with males, she is unquestionably unique and inspiring.

Precepts

1) Refrain from KillingOne Must be compassionate toward all beings and refrain from killing living beings. A further manifestation of this commitment is to work for the freedom of captive creatures.2) Refrain from taking intoxicantsThis means one must not become drunk or lose one's composure due to intoxicants.3) Refrain from committing adulteryAll sexual relationships are considered illicit except those between husband and wife.4) Refrain from engaging in double talk or gossipOne must not tattle or make mischieft with one's speech. To slander rightious people or the Dharma will result in the accumulation of unwholesome speech karma.5) Refrain from stealingOne must not take things that do not belone to oneself.
