What does it take to Move in NYC?
Finding a space to move into in NYC is only half of the problem, you must be ready to make a deal with a landlord and that requires being prepared on several levels.First, you must have at least 3 months rent when moving to an apartment (and at least 4 months for a commercial space. Next you must have decent credit and a job that pays you enough to actually afford the rent...and you must be able to prove it on paper. Finally, you should have any letters of reference from past landlords and/or your employer in order to ensure your credibility to the property owner. This is always a case by case basis depending on the landlord and situation.
