What is Local Metro Music?
We are a local music enthusiasts from Michigan dedicated to supporting Michigan artists and companies. Whether you are a band, photographer, clothing line or promotion company- if you are local we support you!
Local Metro Music is Nick Gillard and Amy Maus. More importantly though Local Metro Music is a community. Local Metro Music is anyone who is willing to go see a local show. Anyone who is in a band. Any and every fan. Without the support of the rest of the music industry, we are nothing. Always support local music. Without the support of fans the locals will never become nationals. We do whatever we can to get you're band, you're solo career, or you're business to the next level!
We often run give-away contests to not only support the bands and companies who participate, but to give them some needed promotion and exposure! Plus you could win some pretty cool stuff!

SOMETHING UTOPIC Solystic
Zack Solystic Groulx was born on April 2, 1985 in Detroit, Michigan. Throughout his life, Solystic has faced many challenges that have molded him into the dedicated, passionate rapper and producer he is today. Because of these challenges, Solystic says Life has been his main influence to fight through the tough music industry and make a name for himself.
As a child, born 3 month premature, doctors believed Solystic to be hearing and speech impaired. His Eustachian Tubes inside his ears were not in the correct position. After several infections and treatments, Solystic had 70% hearing loss in his left ear and 90% hearing loss in his right ear. Along with the complications of hearing, Solystic also suffered from complications with his Frenulum Linguae (the tissue that runs along the bottom of your mouth attached to your tongue); his was still attached to the tip of his tongue. After several years of hearing and speech therapy, at the age of 6, Solystic was just learning to speak and read. It is for that reasons that Solystic appreciates the value of music. From here on out, Solystic faced many family hardships from deaths of loved ones, the divorce of his parents and separation of his family, and family drug addictions.
Throughout his life, Solystic enjoyed all genres of music. It wasnt until he was 11 that he encountered his first rap influence, Tupac Shakur. Showing more of an interest in rap music throughout his teens, Solystic began writing his own rhymes. After realizing that writing and rap was more than just a hobby, but also a talent, Solystic started investing his time and money into booking studio time at local Detroit studios and well as purchasing some of his own equipment. Solystic began producing his own music, as well as reaching out to other artist around the world and producing and collaborating with them. To gain more knowledge and help him perfect his craft, Solystic attended The Detroit Institute of Art to earn an Associates degree in Pro Audio Engineering. Solystic has since built a studio in his home where he spends most of his free time.
Solystic has performed in many clubs and venues throughout Michigan, as well as had his music featured in several clubs and on local radio stations. Solystic has written, mixed and produced over 200 songs including three, 20 track albums and one, 13 track mixed tape. He is currently perfecting his new album Burning Bridges. Solystic continues to work towards his goal of making music his career. He currently sells his beats on Solysticbeats.com in hopes of jump starting his career. Solyistic is a dedicated, passionate artist that would be a strong asset to any label.
