After moving to Idaho in 1993 I attended graduate school at Idaho State University. I completed my Special Education degree and landed my first job in Fairfield. After serving three to 21 year old students my first year in Fairfield I accepted a job at Wood River High School. Teaching at the high school level is wonderful and gratifying. Fortunately, Blaine County School District was just adopting Lindamood-Bell and I was thoroughly trained in the reading program. For the last eleven years I have been running the high school reading clinic and I teach special services half time. Last year I completed my Master's of Secondary Education in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment. I am also certified in K-12 Literacy and 6-12 Physical Science. Remediation at the high school level is very successful and incredibly rewarding, so I plan to teach for many more years.Professional: B.A. Audiology & Speech Sci.; MSU M. Ed. Sec.
