Do you need volunteers?
A resounding YES! Due to the amount of people it takes to run a program of this size, volunteering by our players parents at games is mandatory. At equipment handout, you will receive a volunteer schedule for all home games.
Do you accept donations?
Another resounding YES! A program with over 100 players is costly to run, with equipment, field and official costs, any and all donations are gratefully accepted.
Do you do fundraising?
YES! Our major fundraiser this year will be calendars. You will receive details at equipment handout. If anyone would like to donate to the list of prizes for the calendar, please contact us.
Do we take team pictures?
Yes and you will be notified.
Do we have cheerleaders?
Yes, there is a cheerleading squad associated with us, however they are a part of the LWF program. For questions about cheerleading, please contact please Karen at CheerfortheWarriors_yahoo.com.
How do we keep everyone informed?
Good question! Email, email, email! With exception of announcements coaches make at practices (which may also be in an email), almost all of our communication will be via email, as it is the easiest and quickest way to communicate with over 200 people at once. By the end of the season, you will dread seeing my email address in your inbox! Of course, you can always find one of the board members, or coaches at practice should you have any questions/concerns.
Do you have a year-end banquet?
Yes, we do. Although a date has not yet been set, it will be soon after the final games of the season. You will be notified well in advanced with the date so you can make arrangements.
W hat advice can you offer?
There are a few things you can do to prepare for the season. First, bring lots of water to all practices, especially preseason. Also, buy stock in bug repellant! While the town sprays Tuck Field, the bugs can still be vicious and we recommend EVERY child be sprayed (or bathed) prior to practice. Also, home and school come before football. We recommend that all players put their schoolwork and education before football, so getting homework done before practice is a great way to start!
